Who we are!
Anjali Mya Chadha: Modern day genius and Creative Director.
Actor, writer and producer Anjali Mya Chadha has a successful track record in comedy. She’s appeared in award-winning shows including Little Britain and Mitchell and Webb and has recently finished filming for Matt Lucas's new sitcom Pompidou. After creating and touring her solo show The Dateless Wonder, she worked as a storyline associate for British teen soap Hollyoaks.
Anjali is also a sought-after social commentator (From girlie issues to modern politics, she’s clued-up, chatty and colourful). She’s a regular guest panellist for BBC Asian Network and can be heard on a variety of radio shows.
She set up MissyMya Entertainment in 2015, before asking fellow creative Salema Khanum to help her develop this exciting endeavour.
What Anjali says:
“I want to create the kind of work that I want to see as an audience member. Most importantly, I want to create the type of work I’d love to audition for - but isn’t out there.”
Salema Khanum: Creative Producer, best avoided at all costs.
Her passion is for live performance and new talent. After graduating in European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, Salema went on to work with several prestigious venues and companies. She spent 4 years as Head of Asian Arts Development at Watermans Arts Centre where she discovered that her natural skills lie in developing new writers and projects, all the way from research and development to fundraising and organising national tours.
She’s an international woman of theatre, having worked at HERE Arts Center in SoHo New York, at Seoul Fringe Festival, and as Asia House’s Cultural Programme Manager.
Salema’s professional talents do not end there. As a lifestyle powerhouse she lives and breathes the bright lights of London through her freelance consultancy work as an events and relationship manager, and is currently working with the London Lifestyle Awards. Never one to miss out on the latest restaurant opening, new artist preview or opening nights on and off the west end, her huge and well developed black book of contacts have awarded her the name of Miss London.
With MissyMya Entertainment, Salema wants to continue nurturing new creatives, and putting the voices of those largely under-represented on the stage.
What Salema says:
“I love working with new talent and helping them to grow into the success I believe they can be.”
